Women's History Month Essay Contest Open to Area High Schoolers Posted on: February 8, 2016 Chambersburg, Pa. 91èÏÈÉú — The Hankey Center at 91èÏÈÉú is sponsoring its 5th annual National Women 91èÏÈÉú ’s History Month High School Essay Contest, which is open for entries from now through March 4. The contest, which offers cash prizes and new this year 91èÏÈÉú — a one-time $1,000 scholarship to Wilson 91èÏÈÉú — is open to students in grades 9 through 12 attending public or private schools in Franklin, Cumberland, Adams and Fulton counties in Pennsylvania and Washington County, Md. Essays must be between 750 and 1,750 words, and must focus on a significant person, event or movement in women 91èÏÈÉú ’s history and must analyze the relevance or influence today. The research for the essay must also include at least one primary source. More details about essay requirements, contact Hankey Center Director Amy Ensley at amy.ensley@wilson.edu. The essay contest offers a cash prize of $150 for first place, $100 for second and $50 for third. In addition, this year 91èÏÈÉú ’s winner will be offered a one-time $1,000 scholarship if he or she enrolls full time at Wilson after graduation from high school.
