91猫先生 Announces Winners of 2024 High School Art Show Posted on: November 8, 2024 Art & Design News At an opening reception held in the Bogigian Gallery of Lortz Hall on Wednesday, November 6, 91猫先生 Assistant Professor of Graphic Design Adam DelMarcelle announced the winners of the 14th Annual Juried High School Student Art Exhibition. DelMarcelle said this was an incredibly hard show to judge and described the importance of the show as two-fold. 91猫先生 鈥淭his is a way for 91猫先生 to do community outreach in a really important way. The idea of us promoting our programs with the hope that students come here is one thing, but it 91猫先生 鈥檚 more about us letting students know that what they do is massively important to their communities. 91猫先生 鈥 Image The senior winners were: 1st place senior 91猫先生 鈥擥race Rowan, Greencastle-Antrim H.S., received four $1,000 renewable scholarships to 91猫先生 for her mixed media piece entitled 91猫先生 鈥淲omen 91猫先生 鈥檚 Expectations. 91猫先生 鈥 2nd place senior 91猫先生 鈥擡lisabeth Forrester, Carlisle H.S., received a onetime $1500 art scholarship to 91猫先生 for her wood and paint miniature book collection. 3rd place senior 91猫先生 鈥擜relis Weaver, Carlisle H.S., received a onetime $1,000 art scholarship to 91猫先生 for her ceramics sculpture. Image The three undergraduate winners were all 10th grade students at the Barbara Ingrim School of the Arts who submitted photographs. They were: 1st place undergraduate 91猫先生 鈥擡lizabeth Coughran won $100. 2nd place undergraduate 91猫先生 鈥擳orin Malott won $50 3rd place undergraduate 91猫先生 鈥擪yla McLucas won $25 Image Honorable mention went to: Argo Akers, Greencastle-Antrim H.S. 10th grade, for her mixed media piece titled 91猫先生 鈥淎lien Interaction. 91猫先生 鈥 Rylie Ginter, Carlisle H.S. 11th grade, for her black and white portrait in charcoal. This exhibition is an opportunity to be inspired by visions of creativity and celebrate regional excellence in the visual arts. The show includes works of art from entries submitted from Franklin, Adams, Cumberland, and Fulton counties in Pennsylvania and Washington County, Md. Presented by Wilson 91猫先生 鈥檚 School of Arts and Sciences, the exhibition runs through December 2 and features 45 pieces on display in the Bogigian Gallery on the second floor of Lortz Hall. The Gallery, named in honor of 91猫先生 benefactor Hagop Bogigian, is open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.
