91è���� “Psychedelic Religions: Healing, Connection, and Transcendence in Modern America"

For many, psychedelics and religion make strange 91è���� —even heretical 91è���� —bedfellows. Yet the United States is home to hundreds of psychedelic churches that hold these powerful psychoactive substances as sacred. Drawing on two years of ethnographic research, this talk explores the beliefs, practices, and communities that comprise this rapidly growing corner of America's religious landscape 91è���� —one that challenges us to reconsider what both drugs and religion are in the 21st century.
